The jubilee continued as several debt stricken European governments were able to raise more money in bond auctions. US housing stars for August were better than expected. FED meeting tonight was causing some concern and Nordic indexes pared most of their gains in late trading.

Telenor capital markets day was held today. The company announced ambitions to improve operation efficiency, sustainable cash flow, kept targets in India and announced CAPEX and revenue targets for Pakistan operations. The stock advanced 1.5%.

Vattenfall is still trying to find its way out of a dark mist. Sadly there is no radiating light out there… The company said it will focus on core markets Germany, Sweden and the Netherlands. It needs to reduce its CO2 exposure. Danish news agencies believe the company is contemplating pulling out of the country.

Nokia’s new CEO Stephen Elop got to see first-hand that he has his work cut out, as Nokia yet again delayed the launch of the new flagship N8 phone. Neste Oil applied for patents for waste-based microbial oil, made with the help of yeast and mould.
