Nordic markets continued to be under pressure for the start of October. Upcoming Q3 reports and terrorist threat speculation were sending jitters all around.
Basware tends to announce even relatively modest sized deals. Lately such deals have been very frequent and today the company communicated a major deal from Siemens, which shot up the valuation of the company by 5%.
Another Finnish software company Stonesoft also shot up, but with much more harder to analyze type of news. The company claims to have uncovered a big new internet security threat and says it has notified relavant authorities and software developers but does not wish to disclose more information for now based on not tipping criminals about the vulnerability. The company says it expects increased profitability as a result.
