Nordic markets fell in the early hours and recovered slowly for the remaining session to finish slightly in the red numbers. Terrorist attack in Moscow Domodedovo Airport claimed plenty of lives and affected regional exchanges in particular. Comments of capitalizing Spanish banks if needed have been taken in positive light. Saudi officials foresee oil price to be in line with 2010.

Subsea 7’s and SapuraCrest Petroleum Berhad’s (Malaysia) joint venture SapuraAcergy received a 160 million US Dollar contract for the Montara Development Project located in the southern Timor Sea. Scana Industrier ASA landed a five year frame contract with Premier Hytemp Limited. The company estimates annual value of around 50 Million SEK. TTS Group has signed three contracts of electro-hydraulic winch systems worth 26 Million Norwegian Kroner. Fairstar heavy Transport NV saw a 900 000 USD contract from Nigeria stock exchange notice worthy.

Salmon and trout farming company Grieg Seafood is acquiring remaining 51.3 percent of the shares Erfjord Stamfisk AS from Erfjord Næringsutvikling AS for 45 million nOK subject to competition authorities approval. Last year Erfjord Stamfisk AS posted an EBIT of around 23 million NOK turnover being around 109 million.

Lundbeck was mentioned in the NY Times article on issues that carrying out executions faces. The issue has been on the news after Hospira, lone supplier in the US for sodium thiopental, another of the three drugs used in lethal injections, is no longer supplying the drug to US market. Lundbeck was mentioned as the lone supplier of injectable pentobarbital in the United States. Injectable pentobarbital is seen as an alternative to sodium thiopental as the sedative drug in the execution.

Steel trading and services firm BE Group warned the markets it had a weaker than expected Q4. The company said both a weakening demand trend and weak price development resulted in an unsatisfactory margin. The company added something good with the bad, stating it sees improvement so far this year.

There is plenty of speculation on what kind of Meego devices from Nokia are next in line for launch. Biolin Scientific applied to de-list from NASDAQ OMX Stockholm as Ratos now controls around 95% of the shares. Orion sues Mylan Pharmaceuticals over Comtan (entacapone for Parkinson’s disease) patent. Mylan is seeking authoritization to produce a generic version. Q-Free was up strongly upon receiving a 154 million NOK order from a major infrastructure project in Portugal from Ascendi. Veidekke and Norwegian Public Roads Administration agreed that Veidekke is to bould a new tunnel in Strand municipality. The value of the agreement is 268 million NOK excluding value added tax.
