Even the pros shake their head on the massive swings we've seen for the past week

Swedish venture capitalist Christer Gardell told newspaper Dagens Industri that he feels that the market has become a monster that nobody really understand. He says that despite being in a central position as managing partner and co-founder of Cevian Capital, he has no clear view on things.

He positions that authorities certainly do not have such either and that the markets have become much more short-sighted as algorithmic trading conducted without human intervention has taken over. Gardell fears that retail investors will exit such a market altogether. Nordic markets were down 1-2.5% today, somewhat less than what was seen in other parts of the developed world.
