KONE Corporation (OMX: KNEBV) will supply 79 eco-efficient elevators to two high rise-office buildings in Yu Jia Pu financial district in Binhai New Area, Tianjin, China. The buildings will be 131 and 177 meters tall and will be equipped with a total of 14 KONE MonoSpace® and 59 MiniSpace elevators™. Hybrid destination control systems are included, ensuring short elevator waiting times.
KONE was selected for the delivery by Tianjin Sanjian Construction Engineering and China Construction Third Engineering Bureau. The order will go into Q4 2011 order book and the buildings are expected to be completed in 2013. Binhai is a major economic development zone in the eastern part of Bohai Sea region where an industrial port is being transformed into a modern city. KONE opened half a percent higher in the first minute of trading.
