Machinery and equipment provider for veneer, plywood and Laminated Veneer Lumber producers Raute Oyj (OMXH: RUTAV) announced few minutes before market open that it has received orders valued over 50 million Euros for plywood mill machinery and equipment from Paneles Arauco S.A. in Chile. The equipment will be used to rebuild Nueva Aldea plywood mill which was destroyed in a fire.
The delivery will take place towards the end of 2012. New mill will use radiate pine for the production of high-quality plywood with an announce capacity of 350,000 cubic metres. The order is the biggest in Raute’s history and will have a significant impact on 2012 earnings. The stock has jumped by more than 20%.
