Gas explosion reportedly claims 7 lives onboard a vessel offshore Qatar

News portal Maritime Danmark is reporting that a large gas explosion yesterday at a large oil & gas field offshore Qatar has claimed the lives of seven people (4 from Indonesia, 1 from India and 1 from Britain) onboard Al Deebel. The vessel belongs to Svitzer, which is owned by A.P. Moeller-Maersk A/S (OMX: MAERSK A, MAERSK B). One of the deceased was working for a local company. His nationality hasn't been reported. Four people have been injured with one person escaping injury.
