Outotec (OMX: OTE1V) will deliver iron ore pelletizing plant to Kerman province of Iran for Gol-E-Gohar Mining & Industrial Co. The plant will have an annual capacity of five million tonnes of iron ore pellets upon completion. The scope of the contract includes technology for a traveling grate pelletizing plant, engineering, key process equipment and advisory services. Comparable deliveries have had a value of about 80-85 million.
Sanctions currently in place or those potentially to follow later did not deter Outotec. It said that all permits ensuring that the technology delivery does not collide with existing embargo regulations have already been given. The order will booked in accounts gradually during 2012-2015 since there may be additional changes in the regulatory framework. Around 25 million Euros will be booked into Q2 2012 order intake.
