Dagens Industri offers more details on the insider trading suspicion in Fingerprint Cards Ab (STO: FING B), reported this March, concerning numerous suspicious stock exchange transactions between 2010 and 2012. The person who had a high level position in sales department- he was among others things responsible for drafting press releases- allegedly tipped a friend on incoming catalysts in text using figures of speech. The friend is also under investigation.
It has also reportedly been established that phone contact was made between the suspects almost immediately following a draft from the company CEO to the sales department director asking a press release to be made on a large order that the company has won for the following morning. The spoils from the suspicious trades in question come close to a million Swedish kronor. The defendants deny the charges.
