Aker Seafoods sells aging trawler

Aker Seafoods ASA (OSE: AKS) has divested 20 year old white fish and shrimp freezer trawler Hekktind to a Russian company for 46 million NOK. The sale will result in a 30 million NOK gain as its book value is about 16 million. The delivery of the 47.5m times 12 m times 7.3 m trawler is expected in Q3. It has a cargo capacity of 425 cubic metres or 1 120 gross tonnes. Aker Seafoods has three new trawlers set for delivery in the next two years and many modernization and upgrade works for existing fleet ahead as it continues fleet renewal process.
