KONE escalators to Wuxi metro line 2

KONE Corporation (OMX:KNEBV) announced it will deliver and install 82 heavy-duty escalators in the second phase of the construction of a new metro line in Wuxi, Jiangsu, China. The future metro line 2 will run 26 kilometres east to west across the city with 22 stations. The order was placed by Wuxi City Mass Transit Development Co., Ltd and it will be included in KONE’s Q2 2012 order book. The installations will begin next year and line 2 should open by the end of 2014.
