Vestas nets two significant orders

Vestas is performing strong today despite weak overall sentiment after some positive news. Yesterday’s 90 MW order for 30 V90-3.0 MW turbines with a 15-year service contract from Sweden placed by O2 Wind Ab for Glötesvålen project, which is actually being built for Ikea, was followed by the firming of a 216 MW offshore order from Belgium today. That one came from Northwind NV and will involve 72 V112-3MW turbines for Northwind Offshore Wind Farm. A 15-year service contract is also included. Both project deliveries are either next year or in 2014, which keeping in mind the current large commissioning activity and tied-in working capital is certainly not a bad thing. Furthermore Danske Markets today opinionated to Bloomberg, that they do not see a share issue from Vestas as likely in the short term.
