First shipments after reopening leave Dannemora

Dannemora Mineral Ab (STO: DMAB B) said that the first iron ore shipment since the grand reopening of historic Dannemora mine has left Hargshamn port. MS Transosprey is carrying 17 000 tonnes of iron ore to Hamburg, from where it will be transported to Salzgitter AG Flachstahl's steelworks. Homogenisation store at Hargshamn is now running and planned crude ore capacity at the sorting plant has been achieved. The company says that fine-tuning of process equipment is ongoing and annual rate of production of will gradually reach one million tonnes in 2012.
