The final day to leave an offer for the defunct Swedish boat maker Nimbus is August 13th. Bankruptcy lawyer Rickard Ström who is handling the case admitted to Swedish media in several days ago, that there have been plenty of inquiries with up to 30 partiers being active. Some of them may wish to tender for the entire company and others for some parts of it. Ström seemed optimistic that some deal will be reached.
CEO Raimo Sonninen of Finnish Bella Boats has also admitted there is a strong possibility that his company will leave a bid, most recently in an interview with Newspaper Savon Sanomat where he said a potential deal would certainly create jobs in Kuopio and in Ostrobothnia region. Mr Sonninen felt that Bella is perhaps the most viable candidate among boat makers but that you can never be sure if some interested party without prior knowledge of the business decided to start bidding.
