Nobina taking over entire Malmö bus traffic

Nobina AB announced it has been awarded a ten-year traffic contract in Malmö, Sweden. The company will operate around 100 busses with the total value of the deal won in a tendering process put forth by Skånetrafiken being nearly 2.5 billion SEK. The award builds on the other half of city traffic in Malmö central that has already been handled by the company since 2011. The tender outcome can be appealed for around one more week.

The parent company owns Nobina Sverige (former:Swebus Ltd), Nobina Norge AS, Nobina Finland Oy and Nobina Danmark A/S and is active in said countries. It changed its name to Nobina from Concordia Bus in 2009. The company is mainly owned by international investment funds and its corporate bonds are publicly quoted.
