NSN talking divestments

Bloomberg wrote that Nokia (OMX: NOK1V, NYSE: NOK) and Siemens (FWB: SIE) joint venture Nokia Siemens Networks is talking potential divestments of its fixed-lines assets as it continues to focus on mobile broadband. Ericsson’s (OMX: ERIC B, NASDAQ: ERIC) CEO Hans Vestberg told that the company is not interested in the assets. Other competitors in the field where we have recently heard voices that there are too many players include Alcatel- Lucent (Euronext: ALU, NYSE: ALU) and Huawei.

News from Nokia Siemens Networks at the Mobile World Congress included 4G speed record with a 1.4 Gbps mobile call, closing of the transaction of responsibility for Norwegian nationwide TETRA Nødnett project to Motorola Solutions, Inc and Indonesia’s Telkomsel implementing NSN’s Customer Experience Management (CEM) on Demand portal.
