Huge increase in traffic for Marimekko on visibility at Google

Fashion firm Marimekko’s OMXH: MMO1V website has seen a large surge in visitor numbers today as Google is featuring Marimekko's design on its website. Marimekko announced in a press release that vernal equinox celebration is shown with First Day of Spring and Fall Marimekko- doodles, debending on which side of the globe you are in.

Marimekko tells that the creative collaboration was started when Google’s CP Marissa Mayer visited their textile printing factory in Helsinki, Finland. The city is at the forefront of global design discussion this year. Google’s doodles tend to be attuned to the times. Marimekko’s stock is down on low volume along with the rest of the market.
