Spanish technology holding company CN Tetragen has acquired Nokia Siemens Networks’ fixed-wireless broadband business Expedience. The assets will be operated under a new company called Nexpedience Networks. CN Tetragen gets the entire asset, active customer and supplier contact portfolio and aims to ensure the continuity of the offering.
NSN acquired the assets in the deal as a part of its deal to purchase Motorola Mobility’s public carrier wireless network infrastructure assets which was finally completed last summer. Nokia Siemens has announced a number of divestments as it weeds out non-core assets upon focusing on mobile broadband and services. Financial details of the deal weren’t disclosed.
