New product range from KONE

KONE Corporation (OMX: KNEBV) said in a press release yesterday that it has developed a new quiet and eco-efficient elevator, which it believes will grab a lion’s share of its sales in the years to come. The new products will be available in Europe and Asia Pasific during H2 2012 and next year in the Americas. KONE said that the new MonoSpace elevators are up to 35% more energy efficient due to a new hoisting machine, drive and standby solutions. New motor control and braking system as well as an improved car structure have been designed with ride comfort in mind.

KONE could also boast with two awards and two honourable mentions in the product design 2012 category of the red dot award competition. Furthermore KONE is changing its management structure to reflect China’s growing importance with the business in China separated from the wider Asia-Pacific area into which KONE Middle East will be added. The current country manager William B. Johnson will head the new business area.
