Nokia World news

In connection with the Nokia World Conference 2012, Nokia (OMX: NOK1V, NYSE: NOK) (NASDAQ: MSFT) held a press conference in New York this morning local time. Samsung had gotten ahead of Nokia in unveiling its upcoming Windows 8 phone although Nokia claims to have the first working one in its hands. The webcast had technical issues in the start, confirming a worrying trend of product launch hiccups.

Lumia 920 will be the new flagship phone running Windows Phone 8. It is being billed PureView device, has wireless charging capability. Nokia maps and camera quality are what the company still views as main differentiating factors going forward. Nokia has been making some lofty gains in anticipation of new launches. It seems the leaks of previous days were pretty accurate and the stock is under some pressure so far today.
