Kamprad says IKEA will never list

Swedish home products company IKEA’s founder Ingvar Kamprad was interviewed in Switzerland where he resides by a local business magazine Bilanz. He vehemently denied rumours of an imminent retirement but also claims of any major disputes with his three sons who are seen to take over after the 86-year old patriarch steps down. He said IKEA will rely strictly on self-financing and will not seek to go to market.
