Nordic markets were up handily as the overall sentiment continued to improve and new US jobless claims declined slightly. Norwegian oil fund continues to buy Greek debt in earnest, betting on high returns and no default.

Klövern AB has acquired 37 properties in Linköping, Norrköping and Örebro for 1055 million SEK. Stockmann’s August sales were up sharply. The interest Finncomm fleet heats up. Finnair announced it has signed a preliminary agreement regarding the purchase of 20% minority ownership in Finnish Commuter Airlines Oy, which handles Finncomm flight operations. Air Baltic claims to have a similar Memorandum of Understanding with Finncomm. HKScan has signed an agreement to acquire Rose Poultry for maximum of 23.9 million Euro. The sale needs to be approved under the European Community Merger Law.
