Nordic markets closed flat after a slow day. Changes to Eurozone rescue fund are being discussed. Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs is taking another medical leave. Tunisian Prime Minister appointed new unity government in hopes of calming the still ongoing unrest.

Board of VimpelCom Ltd. decided yesterday to approve VimpelCom’s acquisition of Wind Telecom S.p.A. Telenor ASA has stated it is will try to stop the acquisition from being completed. The release from Telenor says among other things that ’obvious deception that violates the VimpelCom shareholders agreement’ has taken place. The ensuing dilutive effect on Telenor’s minority stake was not well received by Telenor shareholders and the stock was down 2% today.

Trelleborg and Freudenberg intend to form a 50/50 joint venture within antivibration soloutions for light and heavy vehicles. The expected annual sales are around a dozen billion Swedish kronor. Trelleborg gained 1.8%.

Eitzen Chemical’s warned that its Q4 was weaker than expected. This major disappointment sliced nearly a fifth of the company’s stock market value. Nokian Renkaat on the other hand said its Q4 sales and profit were better than expected.
