Cargotec blames competitor SweFrame for theft

Cargotec (OMX: CGCBV) has filed a lawsuit in Sweden against SweFrame Port Equipment AB claiming damages for theft and use of Cargotec Bromma Conquip’s sensitive product information. Police has investigated the issue and confiscated materials from SweFrame. A local court in Sweden has accepted the suit and ordered SweFrame to comment on the claims. First hearing is scheduled to take place after summer vacations.

SweFrame Port Equipment AB is a newly formed independent company specialised in container handling. SweFrame says it has engaged experienced spreader professionals to create a high quality spreader, which came to market in 2010. Cargotec's Bromma Conquip is the world's leading crane spreader company. Bromma was incorporated into Cargotec in 2009. SweFrame's key personnel includes several former Bromma executives.
