Atlas Copco buys dimension stone drilling company from Italy

Swedish industrial group Atlas Copco (OMX: ATCO A, ATCO B)) notified the stock exchange yesterday that it has acquired Italian dimension stone drilling and cutting equipment manufacturer Perfora S.p.A for an undisclosed price. This is Atlas Copco’s first foray into dimension stone drilling equipment business.

Perfora is a privately owned company from Bagnolo Piemonte, Cuneo. It has 43 employees and annual revenues of around 10 million Euros. The company has a globally spread direct sales and local dealers network. It is the leading supplier of diamond wire saws and drill rigs designed for dimension stone applications for the extraction of marble, granite and ornamental stones.
