Mærsk CEO has emergency heart surgery

A.P. Møller -Mærsk A/S (OMX: MAERSK A, OMX: MAERSK B) announced moments ago, that CEO Nils S. Andersen has undergone open heart surgery to replace a leaky cardiac valve. The operation went well and the company expects the CEO to be back in one month’s time. Meanwhile Chairman Michael Pram Rasmussen will take a more active role in day-to-day decisions.
