Sanoma sells Esmerk for 6 million Euro gain

Sanoma Oyj (OMX: SAA1V) has agreed to divest its business information services operations Esmerk Oy to M-Brain Oy, which is a company that focuses on monitoring and analysing media data. The deal values Esmerk at 10 million Euros and takes effect immediately. Esmerk has operations in a half a dozen European countries and in Malaysia and in the USA. Its net sales last year were around 10.6 million and EBIT stood at 1 million. It has 190 employees calculated on full-time workload basis. Sanoma will book a capital gain of around 6 million Euros in Q2 2012 accounts.
