Newspaper China Daily writes that Prime Minister Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir believes her country will enter into a free trade agreement with China this coming week. The head of the Government of Iceland is visiting Beijing from April 13 to April 18th. Such an agreement would make Iceland the first European country to remove the bulk of the trade barriers with China. China Daily says that would lead to lower prices of Chinese products in Iceland and provide further business opportunities for both nations.
