Snowfall leads to problems in Stockholm

Heayv snowfall coupled with hard winds has caused chaos in parts of Sweden. There is a class 1 warning in place in much of the country and a higher class 2 warning for heavy snowing of up to 20 cm for the day in put in place in Stockholm county and in the coast of Roslagen by the Swedish Meteorological and Hydrological Institute. On the three scales warning list a class 2 alert means there may be danger to the public, major property damages and major disruptions of social functions. Snow has brought flights to and from Arlanda airport to a near standstill and is overloading snow ploughing capacity set to help drivers. Problems and delays at Arlanda are expected to continue for the entire day.
